We are seeking experienced Midwives and Midwifery nurses for our client in Wellington.

You will be working in partnership with women and whanau to promote a safe and
positive childbearing experience.

To work in this hospital you will need to:

· Be a Registered Midwife or Midwifery Nurse in New Zealand
· Posses a Drivers Licence (Class B car)
· Meet the Midwifery Council of New Zealand’s annual practicing
certificate requirements

· Demonstrate adaptability, and personal accountability that leads
to accepting and completing delegated duties, and responsibilities
that ensure smooth running of the service.
· Have excellent Time management skills necessary to provide a quality service and
to maintain good peer relationships with continuity team members
and facility staff.
· Show A commitment to ongoing education that leads to continuously
improving clinical and communication work practices.
· Be Child / baby friendly with no record of non accidental injury to
children.

· Posses an Understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the
ability to put these into practice in caring for patients.

· Posses Good communication/interpersonal skills ensuring the ability to
interact positively and enable co-operation /co-ordination between:
- all maternity practitioners
- women who use maternity services and their families/whanau.
· Have a Positive, cheerful, proactive manner that instils confidence in
clients and staff colleagues.
· Be Innovative, flexible, calm and supporting manner.
· Be Honest and reliable.
· Have an Awareness of and sensitivity to different cultures and creeds.
· Have Availability to work rostered and rotating duties.
